Job Description

Fantastic role has arisen within a growing television production company to cover a maternity leave. Reporting into the Finance Director this position will predominantly be looking after the accounts payable ledger for both the corporate and production payable.


This is a vibrant and dynamic company who has produced some well-known programmes and works with some of the UK best known talents. The role requires an experienced accounts assistant who has ideally previously worked within a TV or media company.


This role will be a 12 month contract.


The Role:

  • Full maintenance and reconciliation of the purchase ledger, including investigating and resolve queries and old items.
  • Obtain authorisation for and post invoices for overhead and production costs.
  • Preparation of the payment runs – compile, obtain authorisation, post, file away.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Recording, monitoring and posting petty cash, ensuring it is accounted for in a timely manner.
  • Analysing, getting authorised and posting company credit card statements.
  • Process PAYE payroll in conjunction with external bureau.


The Person:

  • Previous experience of purchase ledger, ideally gained within a media organisation;
  • Excellent communication both written and verbal;
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships and influence others in a positive manner to ensure that your work is completed in an effective and efficient manner;
  • Organised, self motivated and adaptable;
  • Ability to work in a fast moving, dynamic and ever changing environment;
  • Excellent IT skills with the ability to pick up new systems;
  • Genuine interest in working within a TV company.
