Job Description

Working for a well-known and established TV Production company, this is a great opportunity to be part of a finance team that supports a well-established company.

This position will report into the Management Accountant and Finance director and support the wider finance team. The role will be required to manage the Purchase Ledger/Expenses/Petty Cash, alongside assisting with the reporting and reconciling the month end balances.

To be a suitable candidate you will ideally have gained Accounts Payable experience from within a media business, television would certainly be an advantage. You will need to have excellent communication skills and a recognised ability to build excellent working relationships with non-financial, creative individuals.

The role:

  • Producing sales invoices
  • Ensuring all invoices are appropriately authorised
  • Coding and posting of invoices/expenses into the purchase ledger
  • Dealing with supplier queries and creating new supplier accounts
  • Preparing payment runs
  • Reconciling supplier accounts
  • Posting journals
  • Aged Debtors/Creditors reconciliations
  • Assisting in the audit preparation
  • Handling and responding to general finance queries
  • Managing the Finance e-mail inbox and auctioning all incoming e-mail as appropriate.
  • Other ad-hoc projects as needed.

The person:

  • Previous royalties experience gained within a TV, film or similar industry;
  • Highly numerate, accurate and with excellent attention to detail;
  • A good understanding and ability to interpret contractual,agreements;
  • Organised, methodical and logical;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage stakeholder expectations;
  • Experience of SAP would be an advantage.
