We are currently working with a fantastic TV Production company that is looking for a Management Accountant for an initial 6 months contract; with the potential to go permanent. The role would very much suit someone who in a qualified Management Accountant, who has experience in either TV or Media.

Your main responsibility will be around management accounts, balance sheets, cash flow, production accounting, year-end audit and managing a team.

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified (CIMA or ACCA), have good Excel capabilities, be proactive and have excellent attention to details.


• Producing all external cost reporting
• Detailed Profit & Loss account, with comparatives to budget and forecast
• Overhead variance analysis and reporting
• Gross Profit Summary by job
• Use of KPI’s to analyse business performance
• Detailed analysis and reconciliation of balance sheet including control accounts
• Roll over and new set up of files for the new financial year
• Posting monthly inter group recharges and reconciling balances
• Preparation of monthly payroll journal
• Final review of Bank Reconciliations
• Review and forecast of the company cash flow, daily and three month forward
• Regular aged debt and aged creditor meetings with relevant finance colleague
• Production Accounting on a wide portfolio of programming across the company
• Regular meetings with Production Managers to discuss current status of production and update of cost report
• Assist with the company’s year-end audit, helping to prepare Lead schedules and audit files
• Managing and developing two direct reports to help across all areas

Personal Specification

• Proven production accounting experience
• Management Accounting experience preferably in TV or Media background
• Qualified CIMA/ACCA with solid academic background
• Excellent commercial awareness
• Good system skills essential, advanced Excel
• Good interpersonal skills
• Proactive approach to work
• Good time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise and manage responsibilities
• Team Player who can manage and develop staff
• A good communicator who can deal with people at all levels
• Approachable
• Enthusiastic
