A highly reputable TV, Film & Media company is looking for a Royalties Accountant to support the growing business. The Royalties Accountant will report to the Royalties Manager will be responsible for the Producer Reporting and assist the team with Royalties Receivable. This will be an excellent opportunity for someone who has solid accounts experience that wants to get more royalties exposure.


To be a successful candidate you will need to have previous, relevant royalties experience ideally gained within a TV or film company. You will be a great team player, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a want to be part of a fast paced and growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconciling the system-generated Producer statement reports against summary reports produced by Finance prior to distribution of statements;
  • Tracking adjustments needed/allowable on statements, e.g. cross recoupment of advances;
  • Preparing journals for these adjustments and load into the finance system;
  • Preparing lists of new titles to report and check key fields on statements;
  • Producing statement run summary reports for sign-off by the Royalties Manager;
  • Logging invoices received against statements and preparing printed invoices for sign-off by the Royalties Manager;
  • Assisting in the forecasting of royalties;
  • Developing an understanding of expenses and clearances
  • Collaborating with the rest of the department on royalties receivable work;
  • Maintaining the royalties tracker – track as reporting received. Chasing or escalating as necessary;
  • Assisting in tracking / invoicing / reporting non-standard Royalties Receivable;
  • Processing of straight-forward standard royalties receivable reports;


The Person:

  • Have demonstrable prior experience in a Royalties role;
  • Be logical and organised with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
  • Have a methodical, systematic approach;
  • Be highly numerate;
  • Hold advanced Excel skills;
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Have the ability to pick up new systems;
