Job Description

A Major name in Film and Home Entertainment are looking to employ a Senior Business Development Manager to manage their National Accounts for Non-Traditional business in a key Home Entertainment business. Working alongside a small team of Account Managers and reporting to the Head of Sales, the majority of this role will be tasked with managing  existing Retail Accounts. You will also be responsible of the development of new business.


Coming from a Retail, FMCG or Product Account Management background, you are looking for a step up or a sidestep in to a Senior Business Development Manager role, where you are fully responsible for developing you own accounts, identifying and winning new retail opportunities, planning and delivering effective sales strategies that meet revenue and profit targets across a portfolio of content. Forecasting all volume, revenue and contribution at SKU and promotion level. You are able to cold call in order to secure meetings with new clients and identifying new product development opportunities. You will maintaining customer P&Ls and managing POS/Merchandising budgets to agreed targets and are happy to travel to stores regularly to ensure that you are building your knowledge of your clients and own and lead key projects within the team.


As a Senior Business Development Manager, you have at least two years’ experience in a similar role, managing National Retail Accounts and have excellent knowledge of the UK Retail Landscape. An assertive networker who builds relationships with ease and is a persuasive negotiator with a track record of success and closing deals. You are able to conceive and develop innovative opportunities and sell those concepts to key retailers. Conscious of the profit margins and bottom line, with experience of managing P&Ls as well as being able to produce sales and margin forecasts. A project manager, who is a strong team player with the ability to manage multiple accounts and 3rd party relationships and the ability to sell to board level.
