We are currently looking for a bright & innovative Commercial Analyst to support the Head of Commercial & Strategy within a leading entertainment brand.

Key objectives of the role will include identification of sales growth/business expansion opportunities, help formulate strategic & business partnership opportunities and support the increase revenues/profitability. You will manage the KPI/Dashboard, working with the business head and key stakeholders to enable them to continue developing the brand. You will model new business initiatives, providing commercial insight for key business decisions.

The suitable candidate will be both commercially & financially minded with exceptional Excel skills


  • Supporting the Senior Management team through gathering financial and non-financial data, analysis and helping to increase profitability
  • Full responsibility for commercial analysis, margin analysis, and analysis/scenario based modelling of new business initiatives & growth opportunities
  • Leading best practice for business case development with stakeholders
  • Involved with Budgets, re-forecasting cycles, assumption testing, financial modelling, ROI, pay back analysis
  • Desk research, industry trends, data analysis
  • Product/market/competitor/territory research & analysis
  • Tracking, maintenance and analysis of KPI’s and other business data sets
  • Collating the monthly dashboards, challenge and supporting reporting cycle with senior management
  • Exposure to relationships with existing clients & increasing client base and widen the commercial offering
  • Manage the operational follow up on new initiatives

The Person

  • Accounting and financial qualification (or equivalent) and experience an advantage
  • Educated to degree calibre
  • Highly analytical with advanced Excel & financial modelling skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Industry experience gained within entertainment and media, technology, subscriptions or digital would all be an advantage
  • Experience of planning & forecasting
  • Proven ability of benchmarking, commercial research and analysis
  • Good communication & interpersonal skills, used to juggling multiple stakeholders
  • Collaboration and project management skills
  • Good understanding of the underlying metrics to drive scalability and profitability
  • Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills
